It can serve as a reference when creating a company&#8217;s process map. Process frameworks can be general or industry-specific.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"534\">Some popular process frameworks include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"536\" data-end=\"626\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"536\" data-end=\"575\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"575\">APQC Process Classification Framework<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"576\" data-end=\"609\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"578\" data-end=\"609\">eTOM Business Process Framework<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"610\" data-end=\"626\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"626\">SCOR Framework<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"207\">The creators of frameworks have done a tremendous job. It seems simple \u2014 just take and use the ready-made solutions. But the question remains: what should be done with this entire list of business processes?<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"209\" data-end=\"505\">Implementing any framework in practice is a non-trivial task. Challenges encountered when working with frameworks in organizations<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"126\" data-end=\"459\">From our experience, trying to turn a process framework into a company\u2019s process map doesn\u2019t lead to good results. It becomes lifeless and quickly stops being used as a working tool due to its overcomplication and generalization. At best, it will only be referred to when it&#8217;s necessary to obtain or confirm the next ISO certificate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"461\" data-end=\"673\">A process map is the painstaking work of the executive team. As a result of this work, key managers have a shared understanding of the company\u2019s business model and the role of business processes in its execution.<\/p>\n<h3>How to Benefit from Working with Frameworks<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"89\" data-end=\"350\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"92\" data-end=\"350\"><strong data-start=\"92\" data-end=\"138\">Check the completeness of the process map.<\/strong> If, after creating the process map, you feel something is missing, refer to the framework and check its reference model of business processes. You may find processes that you overlooked.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"352\" data-end=\"540\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"355\" data-end=\"540\"><strong data-start=\"355\" data-end=\"417\">Study metrics for evaluating business process performance.<\/strong> Frameworks provide recommendations on metrics and KPIs that can be used to assess the effectiveness of business processes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"770\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"545\" data-end=\"770\"><strong data-start=\"545\" data-end=\"591\">Benchmarking business process performance.<\/strong> Some frameworks collect information about best practices within the industry.
